Independent Qualitative Fund Research
In February 2009 Morningstar launched two ground breaking new tools to help advisers: Qualitative Fund Research Reports and Qualitative Ratings. These forward looking services allow you to get beyond the past performance numbers to truly understand the process and quality of management of each fund and its likely behaviour in the future. Our analysts are independent and free from commercial influence allowing them to both praise and criticise the behaviours and practices they find when interviewing each fund manager, providing advisers and investors with objective research they can trust. We currently cover over 1000 funds, with this number rapidly growing towards our goal of 3000 funds.

Morningstar Consulting Services
Morningstar’s two investment consulting teams, Ibbotson Associates and Morningstar Associates are responsible for over $27B under management and provide management and consulting services to many of the insurance and pension industries biggest names. Our UK based consultants employ the transparent, robust and repeatable investment process designed to maximise your business potential, whilst complying with the demands of the latest regulatory and business needs. Investment consulting services include asset allocation models, portfolio models and fund selection lists. All consulting services can be fully customised or a standard package is available in our software solution Morningstar Adviser Workstation.

Software
Morningstar Adviser Workstation (AWS) is our market leading solution, dedicated to the best business practices of UK financial planners and assists in your compliance with evolving regulation. Adviser Workstation is a daily-updated web-based product that provides financial planning tools including: client risk profiling, investment research, portfolio management & reporting, proposal generation and investment monitoring capabilities. It also includes capital market assumptions and asset allocation models from Ibbotson Associates and can also come equipped with investment portfolio models and fund select lists from Morningstar Associates. For solutions that require guided architecture we can customise the system to your own specific constraints.
